A bed and breakfast in Austin Texas

Activities

Adams House  is ideal for walking and biking with wide streets, beautiful trees and historic homes.

Restaurants

To the east one block you can find Hyde Park Bar and Grill (American), Asti (Italian), Julio’s (Mexican), La Dolce Vita (Coffee, Full Bar, and Gelato), Mother’s Cafe (Vegetarian), Fresh Plus Market (Deli Sandwiches and Grocery Supplies), Quack’s Bakery, and Antonelli’s Cheese Shop.

Nearby Attractions

The Elisabet Ney Museum and Shipe Park are both located one block to the north with a seasonal swimming pool, tennis courts, and a playscape. Hancock Golf Course is also located in the neighborhood.

The Adams House Bed & Breakfast is located just minutes from museums, theaters, amazing restaurants, and nearly 200 live music venues. We are located just two miles north of The University of Texas which makes us a great home base for Longhorn football games and other UT events.

Austin has a lot to offer but there is also plenty to see and do outside of the city as well. Take a day trip to San Antonio to visit The Alamo and stroll the Riverwalk. Drive to Fredericksburg and shop for antiques or visit a Texas winery. Visit Gruene and spend a day floating down the Guadalupe River or drive to Lockhart, the BBQ capital of Texas.

We can offer suggestions for dining, day trips, shopping, and where to see the best live music.

Transportation

Two short blocks away at the corner of 43rd Street and Duval you can find the Austin Metro bus stop as well as the UT Shuttle. The bus routes can take you in a matter of minutes to The University of Texas, LBJ Library, the capitol building, downtown, South Congress (SOCO), and much more.

If you would like to schedule bike or car rental, taxi cab service, or airport shuttle we would be happy to assist you.
